Performing system test

Building Technologies
Fire Safety & Security Products
The extinguishing control unit has a special system test function that makes it
possible to test the function sequence, without having to actually trigger the
releasing device (actuator). The programmed activated time, active mode, alarm
horn, the function of the emergency button or abort button etc. can thus be
checked. This function is accessible only by means of a special access code and
should be used only by the service engineer.
The System test can be performed in two modes:
In Mode 1 monitored control lines 4 and 5 are not activated, the activation is
simulated by LEDs.
In Mode 2 monitored control lines 1, 3, 4 and 5 are not activated, the activation
is simulated by LEDs.
Enabling and disabling system test
1. Set the system on Access level 2.
2. Enter the digit code "211243" by using the keys "Digits 1 to 4".
LED 10 "Operating access" flashes slowly.
3. Press key "System test" within 5 seconds.
System test Mode 1 is enabled.
4. Press key "System test" once again.
System test Mode 2 is enabled.
5. Press key "Reset".
6. Press key "System test" within 5 seconds.
LED 11 "Disabled" and LED 19 "System test" are OFF
Checking the functions in Mode 1
When System test mode 1 is ON, the system operates normally, with the exception
of monitored control lines 4 and 5, which are not activated.
LED 11 "Disabled" and LED 19 "System test" light up.
1. Use manual activation or trigger an alarm at a fire detector.
Instead of monitored control line 4 being activated, LED 21 lights up as long
as monitored control line 4 remains active.
Instead of control line 5 being activated, LED 24 lights up as long as
monitored control line 5 remains active.
Checking the functions in Mode 2
When System test mode 2 is ON, the system operates normally, with the exception
of monitored control lines 1, 3, 4 and 5, which are not activated.
LED 11 "Disabled" lights up and LED 19 "System test" flashes (slow).
1. Use manual activation or trigger an alarm at a fire detector.
Instead of control line 1 being activated, LED 20 "Horn/Actuator" flashes
(slow) as long as the control line remains active.
Instead of control line 3 being activated, LED 22 "Fire Control" flashes (slow)
as long as the control line remains active.
Instead of control line 4 being activated, LED 21 "Disabled/Fault"
(horn/actuator, controls) flashes as long as the control line remains active.
Instead of control line 5 being activated, LED 24 "Disabled/Fault" (RT
fault/RT-alarm) flashes as long as the control line remains active.
With all tests, ensure that the extinguishing device is in fact mechanically
