If you operate mobile communication equip‐
ment when driving, you will be distracted
from the traffic situation. This could also
cause you to lose control of the vehicle.
Only operate this equipment when the

Depending on the vehicle's equipment, you can
establish an Internet connection in the following

Internet function via the communication
module
On vehicles with a built-in communication mod‐
ule, the Internet connection is established via an
integrated SIM card.
To use online functions via the communication
module the following conditions must be met:

Contact a Mercedes-Benz service centre to find
out whether it is possible to purchase data vol‐
ume in your country.
When data volumes are available, you can use the
web browser, the Internet radio and the Wi-Fi hot‐
spot for mobile devices.

To use web browsers, Internet radio or Wi-Fi
hotspot, the data volumes must also be pur‐
chased directly from the wireless service pro‐
vider. To purchase data volumes you have to
connect your mobile device using the vehi‐
cle's Wi-Fi hotspot and register with the wire‐
less service provider (
