Check that the Automatically detect settings check box is cleared, and click the OK button to close
the dialog box.

Open the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box with one of the following methods.
OS
Click the Windows Start button and select Network Connections. Double-click EtherNet and click
Windows 10
Properties.
Click the Windows Start button and select Control Panel - View network status and tasks. Click
Windows 8
Change adapter settings on the left side of the screen, double-click EtherNet, and click
Properties.
Click the Windows Start button and select Network Connections. Click EtherNet and then click
Windows 8.1
Change settings of this connection.
Click the Windows Start button and select Control Panel. Click Network and Sharing Center,
Windows 7
Local Area Connection, and then Properties.
Click the Windows Start button and select Control Panel - View network status and tasks. Click
Windows Vista
Manage network connections on the left side of the screen, double-click Local Area Connection,
and click Properties.
Click the Windows Start button and select Settings - Control Panel - Network Connections - Local
Windows XP
Area Connection and click Change settings of this connection in the Network Tasks menu.
Click the Windows Start button and select Settings - Control Panel - Network and Dial-up
Windows 2000
Connections - Local Area Connection.

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click the Properties button.
The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box will be displayed.
