Selecting the power supply unit

Warning
• For the electrical power supply, use only PELV circuits in accordance with
IEC 60204-1/EN 60204-1 (Protective Extra-Low Voltage, PELV).
Also take into account the general requirements for PELV circuits in accordance with
IEC 60204-1/EN 60204-1.
• Use only voltage sources that ensure a reliable electric separation of operating
voltage from the network in accordance with IEC 60204-1/EN 60204-1.
Through the use of PELV circuits, protection from electric shock (protection from direct and indirect
contact) is ensured in accordance with IEC 60204-1/EN 60204-1 (refer to Electrical Equipment of Ma­
chines. General Requirements).
Note
• Use regulated power supplies to ensure that the load voltage of the outputs always
remains within the permitted tolerances during operation (è Chapter 3.5.4).
• Make sure that the selected power supply units provide sufficient power.
