10.9 Upgrading firmware
Note
Damaged firmware if the power supply is interrupted while transferring data
If the power supply is interrupted while transferring data, this can damage the inverter's
firmware.
• Do not switch off the inverter's power supply while data is being transferred.
7. Switch off the 24 V supply or remove the connector for the 24 V supply from the Control
Unit.
8. Wait until the LEDs on the Control Unit have gone dark.
Decide whether to remove the memory card from the inverter:

9. Mount the Control Unit on the Power Module.
10.Reconnect all plugs and switch on the 24 V supply.
11.If the firmware upgrade was successful, the Control Unit responds after a few seconds
with the RDY LED lighting up green.
You have successfully updated the inverter's firmware to a newer version. When there is an
upgrade your settings will be stored in the inverter.

If the memory card does not contain any data backup for the inverter settings, in the
next step, the inverter writes its settings to the memory card.
If the memory card already includes a data backup, in the next step the inverter
imports the settings from the memory card.
Note
The inverter imports the settings from the memory card.
The next steps can change the inverter settings.
• If the memory card already contains settings, check whether the settings are
suitable for the inverter.
• If the settings are not suitable for the inverter, remove the memory card.
The inverter keeps its settings.
