Audio input

The camera can record two channels of audio.
The audio to input to each channel can be switched to the built-in microphone, an external microphone, or a connected audio device.

Switching the audio input

The audio recording format such as compression format varies depending on the recording mode.

Select the [AUDIO SETTINGS] menu → [AUDIO CH SETTINGS] → [CH1 IN SELECT] → [INT(L)].

Select the [AUDIO SETTINGS] menu → [AUDIO CH SETTINGS] → [CH2 IN SELECT] → [INT(R)].

When using an audio device or an external microphone

Connect an audio device or an external microphone to the <AUDIO INPUT 1>/<AUDIO INPUT 2> terminal.

Set each item in the [AUDIO SETTINGS] menu → [AUDIO INPUT].

Adjusting the audio recording level

There are manual adjustment and automatic adjustment as the adjustment method of the audio recording level.
Automatic adjustment of the recording level

Set the <CH1>/<CH2> switch to <AUTO>.
f Audio channel 1 and audio channel 2 can individually set.
f Following settings are disabled when the <CH1>/<CH2> switch is set to <AUTO>.
- Adjustment of the recording level by the <AUDIO LEVEL CH1>/<AUDIO LEVEL CH2> dial
- The [AUDIO SETTINGS] menu → [AUDIO CH SETTINGS] → [CH1 LIMITER]/[CH2 LIMITER] setting
