Shooting
For shooting, use the following steps.
1 REC button (camera body)
2 REC button (grip)

Set the video settings and the audio input.
f Before shooting, the followings must be set or adjusted.
- Image settings for the brightness function (iris, gain, shutter) and the white balance adjustment function, etc.
- Audio input settings for audio recording.
- Adjusting audio recording level

Start the recording by pressing the REC button.
f There is one REC button each on the camera and the grip.
f The tally lamp is illuminated in red while recording.

Press the REC button again to stop.

Check videos recorded.
The last approximately three seconds of the previously shot clip is automatically played back by pressing the USER button with [REC CHECK]
assigned.
In this way, you can check whether video has been recorded properly.
f Returns to recording standby after checking.
Selecting the resolution, codec, and frame rate for recording video
The resolution, codec, and frame rate of the recording video can be selected in the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu → [SYSTEM MODE].
f [FREQUENCY]: System frequency
f [SENSOR MODE]: Drive mode of the sensor
f [MAIN PIXEL]: Resolution
f [MAIN CODEC]: Recording codec
- 4:2:0 (8 bits) LongGOP MOV: [420LongGOP 150M], [420LongGOP 100M], [420LongGOP 50M]
- 4:2:2 (10 bits) LongGOP MOV: [422LongGOP 150M], [422LongGOP 100M], [422LongGOP 50M]
- AVCHD: [AVCHD PS], [AVCHD PH], [AVCHD HA], [AVCHD PM]
f VFR: Variable frame rate recording function (variable frame rate range)
