Encapsulation
Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) is a network protocol that enables secure
transfer of data from a remote client to a private server, creating a Virtual Private
Network (VPN) using TCP/IP-based networks. PPTP supports on-demand, multi-
protocol, and virtual private networking over public networks, such as the Internet.
The Contivity 221 supports only one PPTP server connection at any given time. To
configure a PPTP client, you must configure the My Login and Password fields for
a PPP connection and the PPTP parameters for a PPTP connection.
