conversation being experienced by both parties to the call. In the unlikely
event of such problems occurring, the user should contact the supplier or
maintainer of the apparatus, rather than the network operator.
While operation may be possible initially, changes to or modernization of the
network taking place in the normal course of events may result in the
apparatus being connected to a network service with which it was not
designed to be compatible. Failure of the apparatus to work under these
circumstances may not be the responsibility of the network operator.
Some difficulties may be experienced when making calls from other
apparatus connected to the PSTN via the series apparatus. Such difficulties
may include:
- Difficulties in making calls
- Problems in the telephone conversation being experienced by both
parties to the call.
In the event of any such difficulties in the first instance, contact Pitney Bowes,
rather than the network operator.
The facsimile should not be used in conjunction with other series connected
apparatus such that the aggregate declared voltage drops of all this
apparatus, together with the voltage drop introduced at 40mA by any
separate wiring that is used to link items of apparatus, exceeds 2.OV.
For the definition of a RBS (Relevant Branch System) for PSTN lines, please
refer to BS6789 Part 6.1, section 2.4 of BS6789.
