A
Overall results for the fiber:
B
Loss (Remote -> Main): Overall loss on the fiber
connected between the tester's output and input ports.
E: PASS
F: FAIL
i
: Because the test limit uses length and an attenuation
coefficient to calculate loss, the results do not show a
PASS or FAIL result. This is because the tester must have a
length measurement to calculate loss. The tester cannot
measure length in Far End Source mode.
C
The overall result for the loss measurement.
D
The measured loss for the fiber.
If loss is negative, set the reference again and retest
the cabling. See page 10-3 for more information on
negative loss.

E
The maximum loss allowed by the selected test limit.
F
The difference between the limit and the measured loss.
Margin is negative if the loss exceeded the limit.
G
Meter for the loss measurement. Values in the red zone
exceed the selected test limit.

If the test limit uses length and an attenuation
coefficient to calculate loss, the results do not show
a PASS or FAIL result, a limit, or a margin. This is
because the tester must have a length measurement
to calculate loss. The tester cannot measure length
in Far End Source mode.
