To run the IF cable into the building, proceed as follows:
Procedure 5-13 Install and ground IF cable at building entry

Make an entry point into the building and run the main IF cable into
the building.

Ground the IF cable to the external ground bar outside the building
entry point.
3
Install an LPU inside the building entry point.
4
Ground the inside LPU to the master ground bar.
5
Connect the IF cable to the SURGE side of the LPU inside the building
entry point.
6
Connect another IF cable from the EQUIPMENT side of the inside LPU
and run it to the location of the CMU.
