Setting IP addresses
automatically

If the printer IP address changes each time
you connect to the DHCP server and the power
supply is turned ON, you can automatically
detect and reset the IP address that has
changed.

z The search targets follow the search range settings of the
Direct Network Printing Utility (LPR).

Select [Setup] in the [Option] menu.

Enable the [Auto Reconnect] check box.

Click [OK].

Uninstalling

Select [Exit] in the [File] menu.

Select [Start]>[All
Programs]>[Intec]>[Direct Network
Printing Utility (LPR)]>[Delete LPR
Utility] to delete the Direct Network
Printing Utility (LPR).
When the [user account control] dialog box
is displayed, click [Yes].

Click [Yes].
The deletion will start.

Note
z The software operates in tandem with the printer drivers,
so it is necessary to install the printer drivers.
z Network Extension is installed automatically when the
printer drivers are installed using a TCP/IP network
connection.
z The printer driver connection destination operates only in
the following circumstances.
– LPR Port
– Standard TCP/IP Port
z PC administrator privileges are required for the setup.

Checking the printer settings

You can check the setup details for the connected
device.
Note
z Even if Network Extension is installed, the [Options] tab
is not displayed if there is a mismatch with the operations
environment.

Click [Start], and then select [Devices
and printers].

Right-click the [Intec (product name)
(PS)] or [Intec (product name)(PCL6)]
icon, and select [Printer properties].

Click the [Status] tab.

Click the [Update] button.
(Windows 7 PCL drivers window)
The setup details for the device will be
displayed in the "Device Settings".

Click [OK].
Memo
z Click the [Web Setting] button to start the Web browser
automatically and display the device setup details. For
details, see
"Setting the network from the web browser"
(P.183).
