"Climate Control" Application
Purpose
The "Climate Control" application has been especially developed for use in pipette
and calibration laboratories in order to provide users with a simple, fast, and
comprehensive mass pipette calibration process. This application is referred to as
climate control in this manual. The Cubis
systems with this application.
A precisely guided process following internationally applicable standards is used to
check and calculate correct climate data in terms of temperature, humidity, and air
pressure within the weighing chamber and in the ambient environment.
Configuration Options
In the ex-factory state, the Cubis
task which you can use immediately or customize to your requirements.
The "Climate Control" application offers a vast scope for configuration. You can
monitor climatic conditions in the weighing chamber and the ambient environment
using the internal climate module as well as a connected external climate module
(climate tower). The limits for the climatic conditions can be defined individually for
the internal and external climate modules. Limits can also be defined for the water
temperature of the calibration medium if you wish to monitor this parameter using
an external temperature sensor (container for calibration medium).
You can also switch the automatic function of the upper draft shield panel on and
off and regulate the sensitivity of the motion sensor. The lighting in the weighing
chamber can be adjusted in three brightness levels.
Prerequisites
To perform a pipette calibration, the appropriate calibration medium is needed.
If you wish to perform a pipette calibration in accordance with the internationally
applicable standards, you also need the following:
− External climate module for ambient conditions (climate tower)
− Container with temperature sensor (container for calibration medium)
The "Climate Control" task is already pre-configured at the factory. You can use this
task immediately and modify the configuration even while it is being performed.
If you want to create additional tasks for pipette calibration, please read Chapter
"Creating a Task: Climate Control" on page 45.
