3.4.6 DDNS
The DDNS setup dialog appears below in Figure 3-28.
Requirements: You must have a PC with a fixed IP and DDNS software running. In other words, this
PC is a DNS (domain name server).
To set up the DDNS feature:
1. In network DDNS, select DDNS type and highlight enable item.
2. Input the PPPoE name you get from your IPS and server IP (PC with DDNS).
3. Click the OK button. The system prompts you to reboot to activate the setup.
4. After rebooting, open a browser window and enter:
http://(DDNS server IP)/(virtual directory name)/Webtest.htm
(e.g.: http://10.6.2.85/DVR _DDNS/Webtest.htm.)
5. Open the DDNS Server Web search page.
Note that NNDS type includes: CN99 DDNS, NO-IP DDNS, Quick DDNS and Dyndns DDNS. You can
setup all DDNS clients to be valid at the same time.
The Quick DDNS function works with a special DDNS server and special Professional Surveillance
Software (PSS).
