6. Video is distorted when searching local recordings
Possible reasons:

Video quality setup is too low

Program read error, bit data is too small. If there is a mosaic pattern in the full screen—
Restart the DVR to solve this problem

HDD data ribbon error
•
HDD malfunction
•
DVR hardware malfunction
7. Time display is not correct
Possible reasons:
•
Setup is not correct
•
Battery contact is not correct or voltage is too low
•
Crystal is damaged
8. DVR cannot control Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ)
Possible reasons:
•
Front panel PTZ error
•
PTZ decoder setup, connection or installation is not correct.
•
Cable connection is not correct.
•
Distance from DVR to PTZ is too long
•
PTZ setup is not correct.
•
PTZ decoder and DVR protocol is not compatible.
•
PTZ decoder and DVR address is not compatible
9. There is a mosaic pattern on the screen—no video when viewing live video or playback file
Possible reasons:
•
Poor network quality
•
Client end resources are limited
•
There is a multicast group setup on the DVR. This mode can result in a mosaic screen.
Usually this mode is not recommended.
•
There is a Privacy Mask or channel protection setup
•
Current user does not have proper rights to monitor
•
DVR local video output quality is of poor quality
