Select the desired event from the Event Type field and then indicate the way(s) you would like to be
notified that the event has occurred. Click Save after making your selections.
Event Type
Use the dropdown menu to select the event that triggers the Abnormality. Select from No Disk, Disk
Error, No Disk Space, Network Disconnection, IP Conflict and MAC Conflict.
Enable
Check this box to enable an alert for the item selected in Event Type.
Alarm Out
Check the box to enable the external alarm when the event triggers. In the boxes to the immediate
right, enable which camera(s) will record when the event occurs.
Latch
Select the time in seconds that the system delays after the external alarm has ended before turning
off the alarm and the activated output. This feature sets a postponement period before another
external alarm can be activated. Value ranges from 10 to 300 seconds.
Show Message
If this box is checked, a pop up message appears in the local screen to alert you that the event has
occurred.
Alarm Upload
This option uploads an alarm signal to the network if your enabled event occurs.
Send Email
If the event occurs, the system sends out an email to the designated account.
Buzzer
Enable this function to sound an audible tone from the DVR when the alarm occurs.
Voice Prompts
Enable this function to sound a preselected audio file when the event occurs. Refer to Section 3.7.7
Voice on page 131 for details on how to set up Voice Prompts.
