4.7.3.3 Abnormality
This area provides you with the opportunity to set notifications for possible anomalous status
conditions. These are separated into two categories: HDD Error and Network Error.
HDD Error
This area provides you with the opportunity to set notifications for three possible anomalous HDD
status conditions: No Disk, Disk Error and No Disk Space.
To enable notification(s) when an HDD error is detected:
1. Check the Enable box.
2. Select the desired error condition form the Error Type dropdown.
3. Check the Alarm Out box to enable the external alarm when the event triggers. In the boxes
to the immediate right, enable which camera(s) will record when the event occurs.
4. In the Latch field, select the time in seconds that the system delays after the external alarm
has ended before turning off the alarm and the activated output. This feature sets a
postponement period before another external alarm can be activated. Value ranges from 10
to 300 seconds.
5. Check the box associated with the desired notifications:
Show Message. If enabled, a pop up alarm message appears in the local host screen.
Send Email. If enabled, an email alert is sent to you when an alarm occurs.
Alarm Upload. If enabled, the alarm signal is uploaded to the network.
Buzzer. If enabled, a buzzer sounds when an alarm occurs.
Message. If a 3G network is connected, a message is sent when the anomalous occurs.
Note: This feature is not supported by ADT.
6. Click Save.
