• 6.8 Understanding the database
The editable database, which is held in
non-volatile
RAM in the
Freeway
control
card, determines the operation of the unit and its associated panels.
To understand its use, a number of terms
have
to be defined:
•
level - this term describes a type of router
e.g.
video or audio level.
•
source - this term is used to describe an input of a router.
•
destination - this term is used to describe an output of a router.
To configure a system the following parameters within the database must be
considered
:
•
level type
•
source and destination associations
•
source names and destination association names
•
route inhibit tables per level
•
keypad and panel configuration
•
general remote port configuration
•
trigger method selection per source per level
•
audio features per source per
level
