This introduces a delay into the transfer process that is sufficient to enable the
Freeway
System to execute the previous command, i.e. the <1M> or <RS>
command.
The selected file is subsequently downloaded to the 'MASTER' router and the user
is presented with the following display during data
transfer:

Transmit status
Received Messages
The transmit status window displays user comments from the text file being
transferred, and the
received
messages window displays each line of the text file
as it is being transferred. Pressing the <SPACE BAR> at any time will cause the
download to be terminated
.
When the file transfer is complete
,
the program returns to the main function
select menu
.
F3 - Upload database
This option enables the user to read the current system database controlling the
Freeway
system. When inv
oked,
the user is presented with the following
display:

Enter database filename>
Enter the filename
<test>
and press <RETURN>. The file extension must not be
added as the package adds this for you .
The software subsequently reads the
Freeway
system
database (current
system
configuration),
loads it into the PC's database as a text file and displays th
e
file on
the PC screen.
