Configuring the Preinstalled Oracle Solaris OS
At initial release, the Sun Server X4-4 offers the option of a preinstalled Oracle Solaris
11.1.x operating system (OS) image on your server. If you purchased this option, finish the
installation by configuring the preinstalled software. The preinstalled OS image contains all of
the necessary drivers for your server model.

Oracle Solaris OS Configuration Worksheet
Before you start to configure the preinstalled Oracle Solaris Operating System, review the
applicable limitations on RAID configurations. Then complete the worksheet for the Oracle
Solaris configuration.
Before you begin configuring the operating system, use the configuration worksheet in the
following table to gather the information that you will need. You need to collect only the
information that applies to your application of the system.
For up-to-date information about supported versions of the preinstalled Oracle Solaris
