- Take out the two gear shafts simultaneously

Checking the primary shaft

- Clean and degrease the gear shaft, then check it
- Carry out a visual inspection of the gears. Re-
place the gears if they show signs of overheating
or surface softening or abnormal wear of teeth
- Replace the whole shaft if it is damaged or ab-
normally worn
