- With the engine at 3000 rpm, check that the ref-
erence position (1) on the magneto flywheel is
aligned with the notch on the crankcase (2).
Specification
Ignition advance

Spark plug

•
Lift the tank.
•
Disconnect the spark plug HV wire cap;
•
Unscrew the spark plug using the sock-
et wrench;
•
Examine the condition of the spark
plug, check that the insulating material
is whole and measure the distance be-
tween the electrodes using a feeler
gauge.
•
Adjust the distance, if necessary, by
bending the side electrode very care-
fully. In the case of defects, replace the
spark plug with one of the specified
type.
