Step
1 Original glass is dirty, scratchy, worn, or damaged.
Shading sheet reading portion (the portion on the back-
2 side of the original glass to which original width scale is
affixed) is dirty.
3 Scanner mirrors are dirty, scratchy, or damaged.
CCD unit lens and CCD surface are dirty or scratchy.
4 <Check procedure>
Remove lens cover to check for possible contamination.
5 CCD board (CCDB) connector is loose.
6 MFP board (MFPB) connector is loose.
