Step 6.
Disconnect the LED signal, SATA signal and power cables from the backplane. Make note of
which cable is connected to which connector.
Step 7.
If you are instructed to return the backplane, follow all packaging instructions, and use any
packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
Replacing the hot-swap backplane in the optional rear hard disk drive cage
Use this information to replace the hot-swap backplane in the optional rear hard disk drive cage.
To install the replacement hot-swap backplane in the optional rear hard disk drive cage, complete the
following steps.
Step 1.
Read the safety information that begins in "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on
page 36.
Step 2.
Reconnect the LED signal, SATA signal and power cables to the backplane.
Note: Make sure that Port 1 is connected to Port 1 for both backplanes. Likewise, Port 0 is
connected to Port 0 for both backplanes.
