DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM
Battery is not functioning.
Direct I/O settings configured for
a ring, but the connection is not in
a ring.
Direct Device is configured but not
connected
The non-volatile memory has
been corrupted.
Bad IRIG-B input signal.
Latching output failure.
Memory is close to 100% capacity Monitored every 5 seconds.
Primary Ethernet connection
failed
A prototype version of the
firmware is loaded.
One or more GOOSE devices are
not responding
Sec. Ethernet connection failed
SNTP server not responding.
Abnormal restart from modules
being removed/inserted when
powered-up, abnormal DC supply,
or internal relay failure.
Some tasks are behind schedule

7 COMMANDS AND TARGETS
HOW OFTEN THE
TEST IS PERFORMED
Every 1/8th of a cycle.
Rev. C DSP needs to be replaced
with a Rev. D DSP.
On power up; thereafter, the
backplane is checked for missing
cards every 5 seconds.
Event driven; whenever Flex-
Logic™ equations are modified.
Every 1/8th of a cycle.
Once flash is uploaded with new
firmware.
On power up.
On power up and whenever the
RELAY PROGRAMMED setting is
altered.
HOW OFTEN THE
TEST IS PERFORMED
Monitored every 5 seconds. Reported
after 1 minute if problem persists.
Every second.
Every second.
On power up only.
Monitored whenever an IRIG-B signal
is received.
Event driven.
Monitored every 2 seconds
On power up only.
Event driven. Occurs when a device
programmed to receive GOOSE
messages stops receiving. Every 1 to
60 s., depending on GOOSE packets.
Monitored every 2 seconds
10 to 60 seconds.
Event driven.
Event driven.
WHAT TO DO
Cycle the control power (if the problem
recurs, contact the factory).
Contact the factory
Check all modules against the order
code, ensure they are inserted
properly, and cycle control power (if
problem persists, contact factory).
Finish all equation editing and use self
test to debug any errors.
Latching output module failed. Replace
the Module.

WHAT TO DO
Replace the battery.
Check Direct I/O configuration and/or
wiring.
Check Direct I/O configuration and/or
wiring.
Contact the factory.
Ensure IRIG-B cable is connected,
check cable functionality (i.e. look for
physical damage or perform continuity
test), ensure IRIG-B receiver is
functioning, and check input signal level
(it may be less than specification). If
none of these apply, contact the factory.
