When cooking is completed

Keeping rice warm and tasty
● Keeping warm longer than 24 hours is not
recommended.
● The following cases may result in unpleasant odor,
dry, slimy, discolored or rotten rice, or corroded
inner pot.
• Keeping warm other rice than white rice or rinse-
free rice (mixed rice, etc.).
• Keeping warm or adding cooled rice.
• Keeping warm with the spatula left inside.
• Disconnecting the power plug and keeping warm.
• Keeping warm less than the minimum cooking
amount of rice.(1 cup)
• Keeping warm with rice grains adhering to the
edge of the inner port or the gaskets.
• Keeping warm a lump of rice with a hole in the
middle.
• Keeping warm longer than the selected time.
● Gather rice to the middle of the inner pot if the
amount is small. It is recommended that you
consume it soon.
● Do not set 12 hours or longer timer.
● In a harsh environment (e.g., in a cold area or hot
environment), consuming soon is recommended.
● If you do not consume cooked rice soon, put it in
another container and consume it in good time.

Scorched rice
● Cooked rice is partly scorched and the scorch will
be mixed in when you loose rice.
● Good flavor of scorch just after being cooked will
be lost while rice is kept warm since the scorch
absorbs moisture over time.
Notes
● Do not lift up the inner pot during keeping warm. Doing so
may cancel keeping warm.
● Be sure to cancel keeping warm before disconnecting
the power plug. Otherwise "KeepWarm On" will appear
and cooking will not start when you cook next time.

A sound informs you when
cooking is completed and rice
is automatically kept warm.
"KeepWarm On" appears during keeping warm.
● You can select "KeepWarm On", "KeepWarm
6Hours" or "KeepWarm Off".
They can be selected in "Eco", "Plain", "Quick",
"Brown", "Porridge", "Sushi" and "GABA".
● During keeping warm, "KeepWarm On" or
"KeepWarm 6Hours" lights.
● The elapsed keep-warm time appears also in
"Mixed", "Sweet", "Brown" and "GABA".
Notes
● When you have cooked other rice (mixed rice,
etc.) than white rice or rinse-free rice, touch the
[Cancel] key to cancel keeping warm.
● Cooked porridge should be served before it
becomes sticky paste.
● Blanch slow-to-cook ingredients before adding
them.
Selecting "Porridge" for additional cooking
● When you increase the cooking time, for example to
add ingredients in "Porridge", touch the [Hour] key while
"KeepWarm On" is displayed, set the cooking time and
touch the [Start/Rinse-free] key. You can set the time by
1-minute increments up to 15 minutes at a time, and can
increase up to three times.
● Do not touch [Cancel] before starting additional heating.
● Loosen rice well before starting additional heating.
Otherwise rice may burn to the pot.
Basic Procedure
Cooking Rice
"KeepWarm On" selected
"KeepWarm On" appears. The elapsed keep-warm time (0
to 24 hours) is displayed while you are touching the icon.
* "24" flashes if 24 hours have passed.
Blinking
"KeepWarm 6Hours" selected
Keeping warm ends in 6 hours after cooking is completed.
"KeepWarm 6Hours" appears. The remaining keep-warm
time (6 to 1 hours) is displayed while you are touching the
icon.
The menu flashes after the set time has passed.
Blinking
In 6 hours
When "KeepWarm 6Hours" is selected
Keeping warm ends in 6 hours after cooking is completed.
Immediately take out rice since leaving it in the rice
cooker may result in unpleasant odor or slimy or rotten
rice.
"KeepWarm Off" selected
Keeping warm does not start after cooking is completed.
"KeepWarm Off" appears and the selected menu flashes.
(Example: Eco)
Blinking
When "KeepWarm Off" is selected
Immediately take out rice since leaving it in the rice
cooker may result in unpleasant odor or slimy or rotten
rice.
