Configure an interface on an Ethernet port
Description
The subnet mask associated with the IP
interface. The value of the mask is an IP
address with all the network bits set to 1
and all the hosts bits set to 0.
The IP broadcast address used for sending
datagrams on the (logical) interface
associated with the IP interface. The
broadcast address is determined by the IP
address and the netmask. It should always
be set to an IP address that is the network
address of the interface with all ones in the
host portion of the address.
The size, in octets, of the largest packet
that can be received on the IP interface.
For interfaces used for network datagrams,
this is the size of the largest network
datagram that can be received on the
interface.
