Issue
I cannot make an outside
call using the One-touch
dialling button or speed
dialling.
While talking to an outside
party, the line is
disconnected.
Redialling does not
function.
I cannot send a call waiting
tone to the dialled
extension.
When forwarding a call,
Hold Recall is heard when
selecting a destination on
the Contacts screen.
An outside call is made
even when I try to make an
internal call.
I am not connected
correctly to the other party
when I try to make an
outside call from a call log.
Sound Quality
Issue
The other party cannot
hear my voice.
Possible Cause & Solution
A line access number was not stored.
On the Dial Modification Settings screen, enter the line
access number in the Additional No. to Add: setting.
The time limit has run out.
Consult your dealer to extend the time limit, if necessary.
The stored number was more than 32 digits or was an
extension number.
The other party has not set the Call Waiting feature.
The other party has set Data Line Security.
The Extension First Digit Timer setting of the PBX has not
been set to 250 s.
Using the PBX's PC Maintenance Console, set the
Extension First Digit setting to 250 s. For more details,
refer to the PBX's documentation or consult your
administrator.
The Preferred Line Assignment—Outgoing setting has been
changed from its default setting (Intercom).
Change the Preferred Line Assignment—Outgoing setting
to Intercom.
Possible Cause & Solution
The KX-NT400 is muted.
If
is displayed, press
Objects are obstructing the microphone.
Do not obstruct the KX-NT400 during calls. Keep your
hands, as well as common objects such as folders, cups,
and coffee pots away from the KX-NT400 during calls.
