 Scan types
PROGRAMMED SCAN
Repeatedly scans between two scan edge frequencies
(scan edge memory channels P1 and P2).

This scan operates in VFO mode.
  P reparation
• Channels
For programmed scan/auto memory write scan:
Enter scan edge frequencies into scan edge Memory
channels P1 and P2.
For a memory scan:-
Enter 2 or more Memory channels except scan edge
Memory channels.
• Scan resume ON/OFF
You can select the scan to resume or cancel when de-
tecting a signal, in the Set mode. Scan resume ON/
OFF must be set before operating a scan. See page
45 for ON/OFF setting and scan resume condition de-
tails.
• Scan speed
Scan speed can be selected from 2 levels, high or low,
in the Initial Set mode. See page 45 for details.
MEMORY SCAN
Repeatedly scans all programmed memory channels.

If you set scan resume ON in the Initial Set
mode, the scan paused for 10 seconds when
detecting a signal, then resumes. When a sig-
nal disappears whle scan is paused, scan re-
sumes 2 seconds later.
