13. Inspectthe bearing for wear. Spin the bearing, ifthe bearing
does not spin smoothly, replace it. To replace the bearing,
remove the snap ring from the end ofthe shaft and press the
bearing offthe shaft.
Press shaft and bearing
out as an assembly
Remove snap ring
if replacing bearing
14. Inspect the cam (helix) assembly bushing for wear. If the
bushing is worn or the shaft does not fit snug into the
bushing, replace the cam (helix) assembly.
15. Inspect the clutch sheaves for excessive wear or damage.

NOTE: Bushings are installed at the factory using
Loctite™ 609. In order to remove bushings it will be
necessary to apply heat evenly to the area around
each bushing. Clean all residual Loctite™
from
bushing bore prior to installing new bushing.
