Brakes
The braking system is controlled by two levers located on the
handlebars, directly in front of the handgrips.

Service Brakes

The service brake lever (1) (front wheel and transmission) is located on
the left handlebar. This lever controls braking action to all six wheels.
Use this system for normal braking.
The service brakes are
applied by squeezing the left
brake lever toward the
handlebar. These brakes are
hydraulically activated disc
brakes and are activated by
only one lever.
Always test brake lever
travel and reservoir fluid
level before riding. When
squeezed, the lever should
feel firm. Any sponginess
would indicate a possible fluid leak or low master cylinder fluid level,
which must be corrected before operating. Contact your dealer for
proper diagnosis and repairs.
Auxiliary Brakes
The auxiliary brake lever (2) is located on the right handlebar. This
lever controls the auxiliary brake for the rear axles. Use the auxiliary
brakes for additional braking or if the normal service brake system
fails.
Operating the vehicle with a spongy brake lever can result in
loss of brakes, which could cause an accident and lead to
serious injury or death. Never operate the vehicle with a
spongy-feeling brake lever.
