Cleaning the Scan Area

6 Close the scanning area lid.
1. Pull down and close the scan-
ning area lid when finished.
2. Press gently down on the cov-
er top to make sure the locks
reengage (click).
7 Clean the scanner feed area
surface
Clean also the scanner surface so
dirt and dust are not dragged in-
to the scan area with the original.
8 Cover when not in use
Cover the scanner with its plastic
dust cover when not in use.
Caution: Make sure the scanner
power is OFF when using the
dust cover.
