63. Separation Corona

OPTIMUM VALUE: Dl: ac 43.9 to 44.2 µA
NOTE: Adjust the ac current first and then adjust the dc current. It is usually
necessary to repeat this adjustment two or three times, because adjustment of
the dc component slightly changes the ac component and vice versa.
CAUTION:
Turn off the main switch before changing the range of the digital multimeter.
1.
Align the drum shoe [A] in the center and align it with the separation
corona unit [B] as shown.

Select the ac µA range on the digital multimeter.
3.
Turn on the main switch and the separation corona using (SP 12-2: Dl,
12-3: D2, and 12-4: D3).

Adjust the separation corona current by turning VR "D1(AC)" on the
transfer/separation power pack [C].
