54. Horizontal Magnification Ratio Adjustment
ADJUSTMENT STANDARD:
1. Check that the scanner friction is 600 ± 150 grams. If it is incorrect,
lubricate shafts and pulleys; also check the scanner clamp position.
2. Adjust the magnification ratio according to the following flow chart.
Make a 100% copy.
Turn off the main switch.
Remove the upper front cover (2 screws).
Adjust the second scanner position by turning the adjusting ring
[A] as shown.
Make another copy to check this adjustment again; repeat the
above procedure until the copy is within specifications.
Tighten the nut on the adjusting ring.
o Make 64% and in 141% copies.
Turn off the main switch and loosen the mounting screws [B].
Adjust the position of the left (reduction) / right (enlargement)
guide plate [C/D] by turning the adjusting screws [E/F].
Make another copy to check this adjustment again; repeat the
above procedure until the copy is within specifications.
o Reassemble
NOTE: Vertical magnification is controlled by the scanner speed.
± 0.5% (100% Magnification Ratio)
± 1.0% (64%/141% Magnification Ratio)
Is the copy within ± 0.5%?
Are the copies within ± 1.0%?
