41. Pick-up Roller Replacement

1. Remove the paper feed unit.
2. Remove the following parts:
a) Lower feed unit guide plate [A] (2 screws)
b) Tray lift sensor mounting bracket [B] (2 screws and 1 connector)
c) Upper feed unit guide plate [C] (2 screws)
3. Remove the pick-up rollers [D] (1 E-ring each).
4. Install new pick-up rollers.

rotate freely in the direction of the arrow as shown.
5. Reassemble the paper feed unit.
NOTE: - Check that the pressure springs [E] are correctly positioned in the
tray lift sensor mounting bracket.
- Adjust the tray lift sensor bracket after reinstalling it. (See the
adjustment table.)
When replacing the pick-up rollers, make sure that they can
(Refer to "Paper Feed Unit Removal".)
