command:
[:SOURce[n]][:CHANnel[n]]:POWer[:LEVel][:IMMediate]
[:AMPlitude]?
syntax:
[:SOURce[n]][:CHANnel[n]]:POWer[:LEVel][:IMMediate]
[:AMPlitude]?<wsp>[MIN|DEF|MAX]
description:
Returns the amplitude level of the output power.
The value returned is the actual amplitude that is output, which may be dif-
ferent from the value set for the output. If these two figures are not the same,
it is indicated in the STATus:OPERation register.
NOTE
parameters:
none
Also allowed are:
response:
Amplitude level relevant to the current value or specified parameter (if MIN,
MAX, or DEF are chosen as a parameter).
sour2:pow? → +3.4<END>
example:
affects:
All source modules (both Tunable Lasers and Laser Sources)
Introduction to Programming
Signal Generation – The SOURce Subsystem
If you have the optical attenuator installed, the power value
returned is dependent on whether you are in power or attenuation
mode (see
[:SOURce[n]][:CHANnel[n]]:POWer:ATTenuation:AUTO? on
page 103).
If you are in power mode, the value returned is the output power. If
you are in attenuation mode, the value returned is the laser output
power, and you must also use the attenuation value to calculate the
output power (see
[:SOURce[n]][:CHANnel[n]]:POWer:ATTenuation? on page 102).
MIN: minimum amplitude level
MAX: maximum amplitude level
DEF: This is not the preset (*RST) default value but is
106
half the sum of, the minimum amplitude level
and the maximum amplitude level
