Initial calculations and recalculations

The Model 3711's volumetric calculations are performed when the Model 3711 is first started.
Thereafter, recalculations are performed once per second.
Static gas property values (i.g., properties that are not based on live input, such as base density) are
recalculated:
When a Force Recalculation is performed (see Section 6.4)
When any related parameter is changed
When any type of reset or restart is performed

Viewing sensor alarms and communication statistics

The Diagnostics panel (see Figure 13-3) lists all alarms that are specific to the sensor and the core
processor components, and displays information about communications between the Model 3711 and
the sensor. To access the Diagnostics panel, click
Note: The Diagnostics panel does not display alarms that are specific to the Model 3711 component.
To view those alarms, see Section 8.4.2.
Configuration and Use Manual
Comments
Displayed in configured units.
Depending on configuration, this
may or may not be the
temperature value used in
volumetric calculations.
Read-only. To configure this
parameter, use the Device
Information panel (see
Section 3.4)
Read-only.
On initial startup, the Model 3711
and the core processor are mated.
The mating is based on the core
processor ID.
If the value changes:
• The event is logged in the event
log.
• A set of standard parameter
values is written from the
Model 3711 to the new core
processor. See Section 14.4.
To update core processor
software, contact Micro Motion.
The Mass Flow Interface board is
installed in the Model 3711, and is
required for the Model 3711
application.
