Display rules
Values are displayed according to the following rules:
•
The display shows a maximum of seven digits, with a maximum of four digits to the right of
the decimal place. As the number of digits to the left of the decimal point increases, digits to
the right of the decimal point may be dropped, for example:
-
If the value contains one digit to the left of the decimal point, four digits to the right of the
decimal point can be displayed.
-
If the value contains two digits to the left of the decimal point, three digits to the right of
the decimal point can be displayed.
-
If the value contains three or four digits to the left of the decimal point, two digits to the
right of the decimal point can be displayed.
-
If the value contains five digits to the left of the decimal point, one digit to the right of the
decimal point can be displayed.
-
If the value contains six or more digits to the left of the decimal point, no decimal point or
fractional value is displayed.
•
Displayed values are rounded as follows:
-
If the first two undisplayed digits are 50 or less, the value is rounded down.
-
If the first two undisplayed digits are 51 or greater, the value is rounded up.
•
Rounding examples:
-
The value 1.234567 is displayed as 1.2346 (rounded up).
-
The value 1234567.5 is displayed as 1234567 (rounded down).
•
The display range is +/- 9999999. Any values outside the range are clamped; i.e., shown as the
maximum or minimum value. For example, the value
Configuration and Use Manual
is displayed as
–10000000
.
–9999999
