Clearance Requirements for Airflow and Hardware Maintenance for an
MX10016
When planning the site for an MX10016 router installation, you must allow sufficient clearance around
the installed chassis for cooling and maintenance (see
NOTE:
A minimum clearance space of half an inch from the bottom of the chassis is required to
easilyy remove and insert the fan tray.

If earthquakes are a possibility in your geographical area, secure the
rack to the floor.
Secure the rack to the ceiling brackets as well as wall or floor brackets
for maximum stability.
