6.6.6 ID SENSOR
[A]
The ID sensor [A] checks the density of a
temporary image (known as the ID sensor
pattern), projected onto the drum with the
LED print head.
The density is used to determine whether
more toner is needed.
The ID sensor pattern is made after each
copy, if 100 cm (4 in.) of copies have been
made since the last ID sensor pattern
check. This interval can be changed with

SP3920 (ID Sensor Timing).
