Purpose Setting
Function Used to set the operation specifications in case of

Purpose Setting
Function Used to set disable/enable of the high image quality
(Purpose) mode in BW copy.
Item Specifications
Operation/ 1. Enter the set value with the 10-key, and press

When set to 1 (Enable), the check box of "Black/
White copy document feeder unit high image
quality mode" is displayed in the key operation of
[Function Setting], and setting is allowed.
When a check is made in the check box, the
operation is made in the high image quality mode
(600 dpi) in Black/White copy with the document
feeder unit.

Purpose Operation test/check
Function Used to set the specifications for operations in case
(Purpose) of communication trouble between the host
computer and MODEM (machine side). (When
communication trouble occurs between the host
computer MODEM and the machine, the self diag
display (U7-00) is printed and setting for inhibition of
print or not is made.)

Operation/ Enter the code number corresponding to the
Procedure operation mode with the 10-key and press the [OK]
key. Used to set Enable/Disable of U7-00 trouble
detection.

Purpose Setting
Function Used to enter the machine tag No. (This function
(Purpose) allows to check the tag No. of the machine with the
host computer.)

Operation/ 1. When entering the tag No. newly or changing the
Procedure tag No., enter the value (max. 8 digits) with the
10-key. The entered number is displayed in the
column of "NEW"
2. Press the [SET] key. The new tag No. entered in procedure 1
is set. It is advisable to enter the machine's serial No. for
machine management and servicing.
Note: To perform this setting, the host computer and the machine
must be connected through MODEM.
