Select the Check this interface checkbox.

Select the interface to check for high availability from the Network Interface list.

Enter the shared IP address in the IP Address field. The address can be of the form:

a.b.c.d
Note: The HA shared IP address is treated the same as an alias. VPN connections are accepted; however,
administration connections are not.
Enter the netmask in the Subnet Mask field. Can be in the following forms:

• A number from 0-32
• 255.255.255.0
[Optional] Enter an alias in the Alias IP Address field. The alias can be in the form:

[Optional] Enter an alias netmask in the Alias Subnet Mask field. Can be in the following forms:

• A number from 0-32
• 255.255.255.0
[Optional] Click Add. To add the alias to the Alias IP Address list.

You can repeat steps 7-9 to add additional aliases to the Alias IP Address list.
Click Finish. The connection is added to the edit list
