Setting up dial-in access

Click New. The Edit Interface Alias dialog appears

Enter the alias address in the Alias IP Address field.

Enter the subnet mask for the alias in the Alias Subnet Mask field, The netmask can be either a number

between 0 and 32, or in the form 255.255.255.0. The Alias Subnet Mask defaults to your current subnet
mask.
Click Finish. The Aliased IP address is added to the edit list.

If necessary, you can continue to configure additional settings by clicking the IPv6 tab for the serial
port connection. See
Setting up dial-in access
A remote user can dial directly to a modem connected to the serial port of the UTM Firewall appliance. Once
connected and authenticated, the user has access to network resources as if they were a local user on the
LAN. This is useful for remote administration of your appliance, or for telecommuting.
Note:
Concurrent Dialin and Dialout configurations are not currently supported. Dialin access uses the PPP
(Point-to-Point) protocol only. SLIP (Serial Line IP) and other protocols are not supported.

Dial-in setup

From the Network Setup menu, click Network Setup. The Connections tab opens.

From the Change Type list of the Connection you want to configure, select Dialin. The connection is the

interface you want to connect to the dialup modem to answer incoming calls.
