Error Codes

Error codes are displayed in the main display or application display for 2 seconds.
The program then returns automatically to the previous mode (e.g., weighing).

Cause
No AC power is available
The AC adapter is not plugged in
Automatic shutoff configured in
the Setup menu (code 8 7 1)
The load exceeds the balance's
capacity
The weighing pan is not in place
Data output not compatible with
output format
Calibration/adjustment criterion
not met, e.g.,
– not tared
– the balance is loaded
Calibration/adjustment could not
be completed within a certain time
Built-in calibration weight
is defective
Function not allowed in balances
verified for use in legal metrology
The load on the balance is too
heavy to zero the readout
Taring is not possible when the gross
weight is ≤ zero
The tare key is blocked when there
is data in the tare memory
(e.g., when running the net-total
application); the tare functions
cannot be accessed simultaneously
Tare memory not allowed
Tare stored in memory greater than
weighing range or range limits
Internal adjustment is not possible
because the preload is too heavy
Error Codes
Operating the Balance
Solution
Check the AC power supply
Plug in the AC adapter
Press e to turn on the balance
or select code 8 7 2 in the Setup
menu ("no automatic shutoff")
Unload the balance
Place the weighing pan on
the balance
Change the configuration in the
Setup menu
Calibrate only when zero
is displayed
Press t to tare
Unload the balance
Allow the balance to warm up again
and repeat the adjustment process
Contact your local
Sartorius Service Center
Contact your local Sartorius Service
Center for information on having
the settings changed
Check whether the
"power-on zero range" is set
Zero the balance
Press c to clear the tare memory;
then you can tare by pressing t
Check the tare value entered
Check sample/container
Reduce the preload or change
the configuration
