About the Image Display

Possible cause
A lens cover is
attached.
The illuminator is
turned off.
Illumination intensity
is not sufficient.
The exposure setting
is not adequate.
An external monitor is
connected.
The P-400R is
attached to the
motorized focusing
stand.
P-RELS Release is
connected to the
P-400R.
No SD card is
inserted.
The cable is not
connected correctly.
The power of the
external monitor is off.
The input of the
external monitor is not
switched correctly.
The video output
signal format is
different.
Action
Remove the lens cover and direct the lens
to the object.
Turn on the illuminator so that the object
is illuminated adequately.
Adjust the illuminator to adequate
intensity.
Adjust the exposure so that an image with
proper brightness can be displayed.
Disconnect the P-CV video cable from the
P-400R. Operate the power switch of the
motorized focusing stand.
When the P-400R is mounted on the
motorized focusing stand, the LCD
monitor of the P-400R is turned off.
Turn off the video output signal when the
P-RELS Release is connected, or
disconnect it.
Insert an SD card.
Use the optional P-CV video cable to
connect the P-400R to the external
monitor.
Turn on the power of the external monitor.
Switch to the external input.
Set the P-400R video output signal format
appropriate for the external monitor to be
used. You can select either NTSC or PAL
as the video output signal format.
