Connecting to a PC

If the optional USB cable (P-CUS) is used to connect the P-400R to a PC, the images
saved in the P-400R can be transferred to the PC. The procedure is as follows.

Turn off the P-400R.

Start up a PC.

Use the optional USB cable (P-CUS) to connect the P-400R to the PC.

Turn on the P-400R.
The indicator in the power switch lights up. When the P-400R is turned on, the
PC recognizes the connected P-400R.

Transfer image files to a PC using ShuttlePix Editor.

After transfer is completed, turn off the P-400R, and disconnect it from
the PC.
Make sure that you turn off the P-400R before disconnecting the USB cable.

Notes on connecting the USB cable
 When connecting the USB cable, make sure that you plug the connectors at
both ends of the cable correctly, without putting excessive pressure on the
connectors.
 Do not use a USB hub when connecting the P-400R to the PC.
P-400R behavior during USB connection
When the P-400R is connected to a PC, the P-400R LCD monitor is turned off,
and the P-400R does not accept any operations other than turning on or off the
power switch.
P-400R power when connecting to a PC
When the P-400R is connected to a PC, use a well-charged battery or an optional
AC adapter so that the power is not running out during operation.
