1. Observe the precautions in 'Before You Begin', at the
beginning of this chapter.
2. Switch off the computer and remove the power cable.
3. Remove the top and both side covers.
4. If the device is not accessible from the front, remove
the plastic filler panel and EMI shield.
5. Disconnect the data and power cables from the device.
◊ If the data cable is no longer required, disconnect
the other end and completely remove the cable
from the system.
6. Remove the four screws that secure the device to the
bay.
7. Slide the device out of the bay.
8. Replace the EMI shield and filler panel.
