Checking valve clearances

11 34 004
– Remove service cover.
– Move drive swinging arm clear.
– Remove cylinder head cover.
•
Turn camshaft gears until tips of cam lobes point
upwards.
•
Measure valve clearance using single feeler
gauges.
•
Note down the valve clearances.
Settings:
Valve clearance, inlet
........................... 0.05...0.14 mm (0.002...0.006 in)
Valve clearance, exhaust
........................... 0.20...0.29 mm (0.008...0.011 in)
•
Move drive swinging arm clear for adjusting valve
clearances.
