Adding distilled water

Remove threaded plugs

Note:
Top up battery acid level only with distilled water
•
Add distilled water up to the maximum level mark
•
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure
Cleaning and greasing the battery
terminals, if necessary

(Inspections III and IV)

– Remove cover of battery compartment
•
Clean the battery terminals and grease them with
acid-proof battery grease
Materials:
Battery terminal ...............Acid-proof battery grease

Checking Bowden cables

(Inspections I, II, IV)

Check Bowden cables for damage due to chaff-
ing
•
Check freedom of movement and adjust, if nec-
essary

Bowden cable for easy-lift:

•
The small lever must move up and down be-
tween the two limit stops

Throttle cable:

•
Move the handlebars all the way from left to right
and check that throttle valve does not move

Checking headlight beam angle

(Inspection IV)

•
Check the setting with 1 person seated on the
C 1
Settings:
Headlight beam throw .. -10cm/10m (-3.9 in/32.8 ft)
