Removing And Installing Or Replacing Foam-Rubber Element Cross Member - BMW C1 Repair Manual

When installing:
•
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure: pay particular attention to the following.

Caution:
Make sure that the seal between front windscreen
and roof is correctly positioned.
•
Replace damaged clips.
•
Make sure that clips are parallel with the roof
frame.

Note:
Position front windscreen in the anchorages without
spacers in the rubber grommets.
•
•
Position left and right A-pillar trim against front
windscreen and starting at the bottom and work-
ing up press them into the clips, making sure that
each clip engages with an audible click.
•
Install spacers in rubber grommets and install
the fasteners.
•
Install roof.
•
Tighten fasteners of front windscreen.

Tightening torques:
Fasteners for windscreen ............................... 5 Nm

Remove 2 fasteners (arrows).
When installing:
•
